Bill Martin

Originally from New England, Bill moved to Greenville in 1989 to attend Bob Jones University. He completed his bachelor’s degree in Accounting in 1994, but his career in lending began well before that at a local community bank. That is where he discovered the passion that led him to co-found Hanover Mortgage Company in 1998.

Bill is committed to growing Hanover Mortgage and providing the Greenville area with a relationship oriented lending company that cares about individuals. His specialty is realtor-referred purchase money loans, and he focuses much of his time in the local real estate community. Over the past two years, he’s also begun targeting Jumbo loans, which are loans that exceed the maximum amount for many other agencies (e.g. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac). Bill’s accounting degree has proven priceless, as this part of the lending industry requires both tremendous product knowledge and a strong financial background.

Bill’s personal interests include many family activities with his wife Tracey and their three children. He also serves on the Board of Trustees for a local soccer club, where he is head trainer, supervising all of the team coaches while coaching two teams of his own. Some of his other interests include boating, snow skiing, golfing and running.
